Carbs. Glucose. Insulin. In the same context.

PhotoCarbs brings together information that usually ends up scattered across photos, apps, sensors, and calculations done on the side.

The meal shows the carbs. Your CGM shows the glucose. Your personal settings complete the picture.

Glucose without manual entry

If you use FreeStyle Libre, your glucose can reach PhotoCarbs.

Connect your LibreLinkUp account to import your glucose readings and follow them alongside your meals.

That way, the carbs you logged and your CGM readings become part of the same routine inside PhotoCarbs.

Frequently asked questions

How does counting by photo work?

You photograph your meal, the AI identifies the foods and estimates the carbs in each item. You review the result and only then log it.

Can the estimate be corrected?

Yes. You can adjust amounts, correct values, rename, or remove items before logging.

Is the estimate exact?

No. It's an AI estimate and it can be wrong, especially with mixed dishes. Always review it. PhotoCarbs does not replace your own judgment or the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Does PhotoCarbs work with FreeStyle Libre?

The app can import your glucose readings through your LibreLinkUp account. The connection is made through LibreLinkUp, and PhotoCarbs has no link to Abbott.

How does the LibreLinkUp connection work?

You need a LibreLinkUp account that receives sharing from your sensor. The app guides you through it in a few steps; after that, readings are imported automatically every few minutes. If the session expires, you may need to reconnect.

Do I have to enter my glucose manually?

Not if you connect LibreLinkUp. Without the connection, you can log your readings manually.

Does PhotoCarbs calculate insulin?

It does the math with the setting you enter: carbs divided by your insulin-to-carb ratio, with the formula in plain view. The result is a mathematical calculation, not a recommendation, and the decision is yours. The feature depends on your country.

Which settings go into the calculation?

The meal's carbs and the insulin-to-carb ratio you entered. No other setting changes the result.

Does PhotoCarbs control an insulin pump?

No. PhotoCarbs does not deliver insulin and does not connect to pumps.

Is PhotoCarbs partnered with Abbott?

No. It is an independent product, with no link or affiliation with Abbott. FreeStyle, Libre, and LibreLinkUp are trademarks of their owners.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. We're starting with Android.

What happens to my data?

Photos are sent for AI analysis and stored securely. You can delete your account and data in Preferences. See the Privacy Policy.

Meal, glucose, and your math. Finally in one place.

Photograph your meal, check the carbs, and keep track of it all in PhotoCarbs.
